As album art and gig posters are often created to portray the individuality of bands, it is also up to the artist to helps create these identities. The independent music scene has grown incredibly over the past ten years, and with this, so has the creativity, experimentation and professionalism of the art which it is represented by.
Drawn Lyrics is a collection of work created by Saskatchewan artists, or has been created for Saskatchewan bands. Through band posters, CD design, ready-made, illustration and video, the exhibit will showcase the various 'genres' which the artwork itself helps represent.

Drawn Lyrics artist, Leslie Supnet, has contributed work to the exhibit which she has created for Library Voices and The Polymaths. Also, as part of the exhibit, her video The Animated Heavy Metal Parking Lot will be screened during the opening reception. If you don't get a chance to make it to the opening, you will be able to view her piece during the duration of the exhibit (but on a smaller screen, boo!). You can also check out the video here.
