"The Last Best West" is an eight song collection of windswept thoughts and Prairie contemplations by Nick Faye and the Deputies. Written by Nick Faye over the summer and fall of 2010, the songs revisit vivid memories of small towns and family farms, lost romances and carefree summers spent along the sun soaked Qu'Appelle Valley. Faye's music was written to be enjoyed while driving with the windows down on a muddy Saskatchewan back road.

Faye has shared the stage with notable artists such as Shad, Rah Rah, Carpenter, Zach Lucky, Treelines, Andy Shauf, Teen Daze, Fisticuffs, We Were Lovers and The Details.

The Jump Off is a frenetic, thumping rock trio from Regina, Saskatchewan. Formed during the summer of 2008, the post-punk crew laces their dance-punk flavor with synthesizers and programmed drums, leaving them with a sound comparable to groups such as Fugazi, LCD Soundsystem and The Hives.

In early 2011 they released their debut EP ‘Pillaging’ on Harvest King Records. Pillaging defines the group’s frantic dance floor ready sound, making for a record that sounds immediate, sexy and full of bombast.

Over the past year they have opened for various local and national acts including The Famines, Molten Lava and Nick Faye, as well as headlining shows at O’Hanlon’s and The Fainting Goat.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Brian Warren has never stayed anywhere for long. Son of a former Tribulationist preacher, his family lived in various cities across Eastern and Western Canada. Throughout his travels, Brian's love for music was one of the only passions that stayed the course.

Now 26, Brian has spent years working the drums for a living, all the while, tinkering with his love for songcraft. "In the Dead of Winter," Brian's debut release as a singer/songwriter, represents a self-defining collection of eight diverse tracks.

 COMBAT IMPROV is Regina's only regular occurring improv show! Performing once a month at The Exchange, COMBAT features a Performing Ensemble of over 15 of Regina's best improvisers, along with frequent special guests. COMBAT eagerly anticipates their FIFTH season premiering in September of 2011. COMBAT IMPROV, Season Five will continue to create, produce and perform original and traditional works of improvisation, while cultivating and tending to Regina's growing improv scene. Check it out!

Swedish-born but Canadian-based, Sarah MacDougall has been earning rave reviews and topping major music writers' top ten album of the year lists. A sturdy, heartfelt songwriter and a traveller, she is a true professional. Her music has been heard on several continents, and even at 40,000 feet on Lufthansa Airlines Playlist. She bares her soul in song, telling of love, loss, friendship, and other universal themes, drawing in the listener with her sweet, smoky resonating voice and acoustic guitar. Not one to stay put for long, Sarah is a road warrior, touring most of the year from the smallest town theatres to major music festivals, from everywhere in Canada to the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden. For her Regina appearance, Sarah will be accompanied by Tim Tweedale on lapsteel and MJ Dandeneau on bass.
Sarah released her debut album, Across the Atlantic, in 2009 to critical acclaim including four-star reviews in Q Magazine and the Irish Times. Her latest release, The Greatest Ones Alive (2011), is very nearly the perfect album with outstanding production, immaculate playing and moving lyrics. It is remarkably simple and beautiful and magnificently honest with confident and distinctive vocals that steal the show. Sarah currently makes her home in Whitehorse, Yukon.
